This anthropology career page was constructed by the spring 2012 and 2013 ANT 325 Applied Anthropology courses at 茄子社区.

  • There are not many internships available in sociocultural anthropology because of the nature of the discipline and because much of the work in our department is done abroad and requires foreign language skills. You can, however, approach specific professors you have taken a course with and ask about their on-going projects. You can also see our current list of opportunities.
  • Internships offer invaluable opportunities to gain experience in your chosen field. Following are links to institutions that offer internships for aspiring anthropologists.

  • Association for women in science provides 鈥減rofessional skills through mentorship and independent learning鈥 and is a highly involved opportunity; including but not limited to performing special projects with AWIS committees, research and apply for grants, etc.
  • Focuses on research, education, and conservation in order to protect natural resources and cultural heritage; the internship available focuses on research and engagement.
