Courses in the Pre-Health Learning Community are designed to have students think broadly about ethics, communication, and public health needs as they relate to health and wellness within communities. Students will consider health and wellness through a range of academic disciplines and critically evaluate various modes of written and oral communication on the subject. Students will also participate in a year-long community-based research project in which they share their own stories along with the stories of people who live and work in their communities. Finally, students will craft their own independent research projects that engage a social or community health issue that matters to them. Over the course of the year, students will have the opportunity to meet ÇÑ×ÓÉçÇø alums and professionals who have pursued careers in the field of health and wellness, real world models for how ÇÑ×ÓÉçÇø and the Honors College can prepare students to make a meaningful difference – in their communities and beyond.
